The Indonesian national team secured a 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. This result lifted the Garuda Squad to third place in the provisional Group C standings.

Matchday six of Group C in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers featured two simultaneous games: China vs Japan and Indonesia vs Saudi Arabia, both played on Tuesday night (11/19) WIB.

China vs Japan kicked off a few minutes earlier, with the Samurai Blue claiming a 3-1 victory.
Koki Ogawa scored twice, with Ko Itakura adding another goal. China reduced the deficit through Lin Liangming.

Indonesia vs Saudi Arabia was held at GBK Stadium. The Garuda Squad triumphed 2-0, with Marselino Ferdinan netting a brace. Justin Hubner was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in the final minutes.

Another match, Bahrain vs Australia, is yet to be played. It will kick off on Wednesday (11/20) at 1:15 AM WIB.

As of now, Japan remains at the top of the Group C standings with 16 points.

Indonesia has climbed to third place with six points, tied with Australia, which remains in second place thanks to a superior goal difference. Saudi Arabia has dropped to fourth, also with six points but with an inferior head-to-head record against Indonesia and the same goal difference of -3.

China sits in fifth place with six points and the worst goal difference at -10. Bahrain is at the bottom of the standings with five points.
