The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, arrived at Presidential Flight, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at approximately 8:40 a.m. local time. President Prabowo was welcomed by UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem AlDhaheri, Indonesian Ambassador to UAE Husin Bagis, and Indonesian Defense Attaché Brigadier General Muhammad Irawadi.
President Prabowo’s flight to Abu Dhabi was particularly special this time. Upon entering UAE airspace, President Prabowo’s plane was immediately escorted by four fighter jets from the UAE Air Force.
From Presidential Flight, President Prabowo and his delegation continued their journey to a hotel in Abu Dhabi. Along the route from the airport to the hotel, the streets of Abu Dhabi were adorned with banners displaying the flags of Indonesia and the UAE.
In Abu Dhabi, President Prabowo is set to carry out a state visit to meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This visit signifies Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Prior to this, President Prabowo and his delegation departed from Stansted Airport, London, United Kingdom, on Friday night, November 22, 2024, at approximately 9:25 p.m. local time.
