Jakarta – The campaign team for the candidate pair Ridwan Kamil (RK) and Suswono (RIDO) is optimistic that the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election (Pilgub) will proceed to a second round. This confidence is based on the internal data of the candidate pair with ballot number 1.
“We are sharing the results of the data input we have received, which indicate that the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections in Jakarta will go to a second round,” said Ahmad Riza Patria, Head of RIDO’s Campaign Team, in a press statement on Thursday (November 28, 2024).
Riza explained that the projection of a second-round election in Jakarta is based on data collected by the coalition of supporting parties for RIDO, alongside all volunteers and supporting community organizations. The total ballots counted have reached 99 percent. The data, Riza stated, was obtained from the tally of C1 forms that were inputted by RIDO’s team.
Ariza detailed the total votes obtained by the three gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidate pairs in Jakarta’s 2024 election. The Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair secured 40.17 percent of the votes, equivalent to 1,748,714 votes.
Meanwhile, candidate pair number 02, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, garnered 10.55 percent of the votes, or 459,475 votes. The third pair, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, received 49.28 percent of the votes, equivalent to 2,145,494 votes.
“This is the result of the real count or the actual tally conducted by the data team for candidate pair number 1, Ridwan Kamil and Suswono,” said Ariza.
