Jakarta – FIFA has released its latest rankings after the November international break. Indonesia’s national football team has climbed five spots in the FIFA rankings.
The Indonesian national team played two crucial matches in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers during the international window from November 11-19. The Garuda squad faced Japan and Saudi Arabia.
Under coach Shin Tae-yong, the team suffered a 0-4 loss to Japan but bounced back with a crucial 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia. These two performances earned the Indonesian team an additional 16.24 points.
This increase in points propelled Indonesia up five places to 125th in the world.
Argentina still holds the top spot, while Germany has returned to the top 10, pushing Colombia out. France, Spain, England, and Brazil remain in the top five.
They are followed by Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy. Niger had the biggest jump, rising nine spots after earning 31.23 points.
The next FIFA Matchday will take place from March 17-25, 2025. Indonesia will face Australia and Bahrain during this window, two crucial matches in their quest to qualify for the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
