YouTuber Sends Heartbreaking Final Message Before Dying While Filming Content

The YouTube community is mourning the tragic death of Storm De Beul, a Belgian content creator known for his outdoor adventure videos. Storm passed away while filming in the midst of a snowstorm, leaving behind a heartbreaking final message.

Storm De Beul, who had thousands of followers on his YouTube channel, frequently shared camping and survival experiences in the wild. On that fateful day, he planned to record his journey through a snow-covered forest for his latest content. However, the weather quickly deteriorated, turning into a fierce snowstorm.

Before his death on October 30th, the 22-year-old sent a touching final message to his grandmother, trying to reassure her about his survival.

“The snow is falling heavily here. But don’t worry, I will survive, you know,” he wrote before recording a video for a friend showing his tent battered by the wind while snow filled his boots and backpack.

“This is going to get worse. Jesus Christ,” De Beul said in a clip shown by his father, Bout, in an interview: “He was like that. I don’t think I ever saw him scared.”

As the snowstorm raged on, De Beul was forced to leave his tent in search of help, as it could no longer provide him with shelter. His mother, Elisabeth, believes the wind blew away his tent, leaving him with no choice but to face temperatures as low as -18°C (0°F). “He must have suffered for a long time and died alone,” the grieving mother said. “I can’t stop thinking about his final moments.”

Before losing strength, De Beul reportedly contacted emergency services and requested help, saying that he was injured. However, due to the severity of the storm, rescue teams were unable to reach him in time.

When a helicopter was deployed the following day, De Beul had already passed away. When authorities found his body, his feet and lower legs were completely frozen, and his nose was broken, possibly from falling on his face after his lower body succumbed to the cold.

Bout vowed to return to the place where his son lost his life the following spring. He hopes to retrieve his belongings, especially his camera.

“His videos are an invaluable legacy for us. His camera is still out there somewhere in the snow. I really want to get it back,” he said, as reported by Boredpanda.
