Jakarta – A 14-year-old teenager in Cilandak, South Jakarta, stabbed his own family members. His grandmother and father were killed, while his mother was injured.
“The female victim, with the initials RM (69), and the male victim, with the initials APW (40), died, while the victim with the initials AP (40) sustained injuries,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Police, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, on Saturday (November 30, 2024).
Ade Ary explained that the victims were the grandmother, father, and mother of the perpetrator, identified as MAS. The mother of the perpetrator sustained severe injuries from the stabbing.
“The mother victim was taken to Fatmawati Hospital,” he added.
The incident took place at the victims’ residence in a housing complex in Cilandak, South Jakarta, at around 1:00 AM earlier today.
The exact details of the stabbing incident are still unclear. However, Ade Ary confirmed that the perpetrator has been apprehended by the police.
“The perpetrator has been arrested,” he said.
