Shenzhen – The Denza D9 is confirmed to enter Indonesia in 2025. Here’s the price of this luxury electric MPV in China.

BYD is set to enter the premium segment in Indonesia. The company plans to bring the Denza D9 luxury MPV to the country in the first quarter of 2025.

BYD claims that the Denza D9 is the most popular MPV in its segment. Since its launch in 2022, over 200,000 units of the Denza D9 have been sold in China. In 2023, the Denza D9 was also recorded as the best-selling MPV in its home country.

“To date, there have been 250,000 users in Mainland China,” said Ding De Mau, Specialist Product Dealer of Denza, Zhu Zi Lin, when explaining the Denza D9.

In China, the Denza D9 is offered in two powertrain options: electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The electric version can travel up to 620 km, while the PHEV, with both a full battery and a full tank of gasoline, can cover a distance of 1,050 km.

Regarding the price, the plug-in hybrid version is sold at a lower price. Ding explained that the price of the Denza D9 can vary depending on consumer customization.

However, for the standard price, the Denza D9 PHEV is priced at 339,000 yuan or approximately IDR 745 million, while the EV version starts at IDR 833 million. With these prices, the Denza D9 is clearly targeting the premium segment. Ding stated that most of its consumers are businesspeople or families with many members.

“Most of the users are from companies, aged between 30 and 50 years old. Many are company managers,” said Ding.

In Indonesia, this car will also target the premium market, which is currently dominated by the Alphard and Vellfire. However, the exact price will only be known once it is officially launched in the country.
