Woman Kidnapping Victim by Armed Gang in Bandung Recognizes Perpetrator’s Voice

Jakarta – The case of the alleged kidnapping experienced by a woman with the initials S (43) from Antapani, Bandung City, has not yet reached a resolution. The police stated that the victim is still in a state of shock and trauma, but there is already a lead related to the voice of one of the suspected perpetrators.
The police revealed that they have one clue related to the kidnapping incident. The victim, in their confession, turned out to recognize the voice of one of the suspected kidnappers.
“From the voice, there are several people or maybe one person who is likely identical and recognized by the victim.” “But, the victim has not confirmed who the person is, but she recognizes his voice,” said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Polrestabes, AKBP Abdul Rahman, on Tuesday (10/12/2024).
The police are currently intensifying the search to uncover the identities of the alleged kidnappers. Abdul Rahman also cannot yet confirm whether the victim experienced physical violence during the incident.
“We cannot delve deeper yet, because only fragmented information has been provided so far.” How many people were there, and whether the person involved or the victim experienced any physical violence or similar incidents during the journey, has not yet been explained by the victim,” he stated.
“Well, for sure, in the car, the victim saw several bottles of alcoholic beverages.” “So the information we have is limited to that,” he added.
In addition, Abdul Rahman assured that no valuables were stolen from the victim. The victim only lost a SIM card when the alleged perpetrators took them away for hours.
“According to the victim’s own information, the one that was taken was the handphone.” But when the handphone was taken, the SIM card was removed, taken by the alleged perpetrator, and then the handphone was returned. “Well, from all of this, we still don’t know what the actual motive of the perpetrator is,” he said.
“We still need further investigation.” Hopefully this afternoon or maybe later tonight, we can conduct a more thorough examination of the victim. “So that we can dig deeper into what actually happened,” he concluded.
As is known, S is suspected of being a kidnapping victim while in front of his house, Jalan Sukanagara Asri number 70-B, Antapani, Bandung City. At the time of the incident, the victim was suddenly approached by someone wearing a hood who got out of a silver minibus.
While brandishing a pistol, the woman was then forcibly taken into the silver car. After hours of this incident going viral, the victim finally returned home on Sunday night (8/12/2024) with the help of a motorcycle taxi driver from the Pasir Impun area.
