The BWF World Tour Finals 2024 will be held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium, Hangzhou, China, from December 11-15. Indonesia is sending six representatives to this event.
In the men’s singles category, Jonatan Christie, who is in Group B, will face Shi Yu Qi in his first match. This will be the 16th meeting between the two players. Jonatan leads 9-6 in head-to-head against the Chinese shuttler. Jonatan has even won the last three duels against Shi. Meanwhile, a ‘civil war’ will occur in men’s doubles. Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto will face Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
Looking at the head-to-head record, Fajar/Rian lead 1-0 over Sabar/Reza. The last meeting between the two pairs occurred in the semifinals of the Singapore Open 2022, which was won by Fajar/Rian in straight sets.
