Jakarta – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) presents a direct train service without transit on the Jakarta-Yogyakarta round trip route. This route is only available exclusively on December 16-17, 2024.
Vice President of Public Relations KAI, Anne Purba, stated that the direct non-stop service now connects Gambir-Yogyakarta (round trip). Anne mentioned that they are reintroducing the direct train service without transit because they observed the public’s enthusiasm for a similar service, namely Jakarta-Semarang.
“We are reintroducing the Direct Train service after seeing the high enthusiasm from the public for the previous similar service on the Gambir-Semarang Tawang Bank Jateng route that took place on December 9-10, 2024.” “This service is designed to provide a practical, comfortable, and more efficient travel experience for our customers,” said Anne in her statement, quoted on Sunday (15/12/2024).
As for the Gambir-Yogyakarta route schedule on December 16, 2024, it departs from Gambir Station at 23:25 WIB and arrives at Yogyakarta Station at 05:28 WIB. Next, on December 17, 2024, with the Yogyakarta-Gambir route, departing from Yogyakarta Station at 12:20 PM WIB and arriving at Gambir Station at 6:22 PM WIB.
