Jakarta – Three percent of the PPnBM tax rate on hybrid cars will be covered by the government. This is the type of hybrid car whose partial PPnBM discount will be covered by the government.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed that the government will cover three percent of the total PPnBM tariff for hybrid cars. In Indonesia, hybrid cars are categorized into several types.
As stated in the Minister of Industry Regulation No. 36 of 2021 concerning Low Carbon Emission Four-Wheeled Motor Vehicles, hybrid cars are categorized into mild hybrid, full hybrid, and plug-in hybrid. (PHEV). Airlangga revealed that all types of hybrid cars will receive the PPnBM-DTP incentive.

This car can function as a vehicle powered solely by an electric motor for a certain distance, at least 40 km. This car also has external charging and is equipped with PHEV technology.
Incentives for these hybrid cars will be given starting January 1, 2025. For that reason, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita urged producers to introduce their hybrid cars in Indonesia so they can enjoy the incentives. “I ask hybrid car producers in Indonesia to immediately register their brands with us, so that starting January 1, they can already enjoy the stimulus incentives prepared by the government,” Agus stated.
