Jakarta – Chairman of the DPP PDI Perjuangan Deddy Sitorus responded to the statement of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding time that will test after being expelled by the party. Deddy believes Jokowi has already proven to be disloyal to the party.
“What is there to test?” “He has been tested by time and proven to have no loyalty and is willing to justify any means to achieve his political goals,” Deddy told reporters on Tuesday (12/17/2024).
Deddy said that Jokowi should be grateful for being expelled from PDIP. That way, according to him, Jokowi could freely switch parties.
Deddy said that indeed time will test which party will accept Jokowi. He warned whether the party that accepts Jokowi will feel the same as PDIP.
“Later, time will test whether there is a party willing to accept him or whether the party he joins will experience the same thing as PDI Perjuangan,” he added.
Jokowi’s Statement
Previously, Jokowi spoke out after being officially dismissed by PDIP. Jokowi respected PDIP’s decision.
“That’s okay, I respect that,” he said in Solo, Central Java, as reported by Antara, Tuesday (17/12/2024).
Jokowi admitted that he did not want to defend himself against the dismissal decision. He lets time be the judge.
“I am not in a position to defend or pass judgment because the decision has already been made.” Later, time will test it, I think that’s all,” said Jokowi.
When asked about returning the membership card (KTA) to the party, Jokowi only responded with a smile. Meanwhile, regarding the possibility of him forming a new political party, he again mentioned an individual party.
“I have already stated, an individual party,” said Jokowi.
Regarding the reason for the dismissal, he did not want to seek justification for it.
“I have already stated, I am not in a position to defend or give an assessment, because it has been decided.” Later, later time will test it,” added Jokowi.
