In fact, Ara mentioned that, according to the World Bank, the indicator of citizens lacking daily calorie consumption is already considered a category of poor society. “I think it is very appropriate to include those who do not have a house yet, the first house falls into the poor category,” said Ara at the Grand Sahid Hotel, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (12/18/2024).
“How can he be considered not poor, while he still doesn’t have a house?” she continued.
Still on the same occasion, Ara also proposed that land confiscated from corrupt officials be sold cheaply to underprivileged communities. Ara admitted that she had conveyed the proposal to President Prabowo Subianto to be included in the national strategic program for low-income communities (MBR). Ara explained that the program is planned to target MBR spread across 30 to 50 cities throughout Indonesia.
