BCA President Commissioner Resigns

Jakarta – PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) announced the resignation of President Commissioner, Djohan Emir Setijoso. The resignation letter was submitted on Monday (16/12/2024).
Quoted from the Information Disclosure of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), Djohan Emir Setijoso’s resignation will be decided through the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) which is planned to be held next year. “On December 16, 2024, the Company received Mr. Djohan Emir Setijoso’s resignation letter from his position as President Commissioner of the Company,” said BCA Corporate Secretary, Raymond Yonarto, in the BEI information disclosure, quoted on Wednesday (December 18, 2024).
Quoted from the official BCA website, the 83-year-old man was appointed as the President Commissioner of BCA through the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) in 2011 and received approval from Bank Indonesia on August 25 of the same year.
Then, Djohan Emir Setijoso was reappointed as President Commissioner through the 2021 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for a 5-year term. Previously, Djohan Emir Setijoso also served as the President Director of BCA from 1999 to 2011.
Lastly, he was also responsible for general coordination, the Internal Audit Division, Corporate Planning, Finance & Accounting, and Corporate Secretary.
Before joining BCA, Djohan Emir Setijoso was known to have worked at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) from 1965 to 1998, with his last position being Director and President Commissioner of Inter Pacific Bank from 1993 to 1998.
