Makassar – The Indonesian national team leads the temporary standings of Group B in the AFF Cup or ASEAN Championship 2024. The Garuda squad has temporarily moved Vietnam to second place.
In the first match, the Indonesian national team managed to defeat the host Myanmar with a score of 1-0. The winning goal for the Garuda Squad was scored by their captain, Asnawi Mangkualam.
In the second match, it was Indonesia’s turn to host Laos. Unfortunately, the match ended in a 3-3 draw. This result brought Indonesia to the top of the standings with 4 points. Vietnam, in second place, has 3 points, but they have only played one match.
The Indonesian national team will next face Vietnam at Viet Tri Stadium on Sunday (15/12) at 21:00 Wita. Prior to that, there will be a match between Laos and the Philippines at 18:30 Wita.
For your information, only the group champion and runner-up are entitled to qualify for the 2024 AFF Cup. In the semifinal to final rounds, there will be two legs, home and away.
