Jakarta -On social media, Christian Adinata expressed his disappointment about being dropped from the PBSI National Training Center 2024.Viktor Axelsen and Prannoy H.S. extended their support.
Cea, his close nickname, commented on his name not being included in the PBSI 2025 National Training Center (Pelatnas) squad.
His exclusion coincidentally occurred while he was in the recovery period from a severe knee injury. Christian suffered a severe knee injury while competing in the Malaysia Masters in May 2023.
In the semifinals of the Malaysia Masters 2023, Christian Adinata suddenly fell and collapsed in pain on the court while facing Indian player Prannoy H. S with a score of 17-19.
“I fought for my country until the end and they left me when I was broken.” “Thank you for the memories and let’s see,” wrote the 23-year-old athlete, while uploading a photo of himself injured at the Malaysia Masters 2023.
Christian’s post apparently received responses from several world athletes. Including Viktor Axelsen, who is ready to help him train in Dubai if Christian Adinata’s condition is okay.
“Sorry to hear this.” If you want to come to Dubai and train here when you’re ready, send me a DM. All the best,” wrote Axelsen.
Prannoy, the opponent who witnessed Christian Adinata’s injury on the court, also expressed his support. “Stay strong, my brother,” wrote the Indian badminton player.
Not only Axelsen and Prannoy gave words of encouragement. Christian’s compatriots, such as Jonatan Christie, also offered their support. “Continue your dream in your own way.” We will support you wherever you are,” he said.
“I always support you.” “Good luck, Ce,” said Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, interjecting.
Meanwhile, men’s singles coach Mulyo Handoyo previously admitted that Christian Adinata’s fate is still in process.
“We discussed it yesterday, but there hasn’t been any progress yet, it’s still being processed.” Because we need to see the record of the injury until now, how the healing process is. “We are present, but not all of us yet,” said Mulyo at the press conference announcing the list of coaches at the PBSI National Training Center, Cipayung, (12/20/2024).
“It will be asked to the doctor how the process is going, how far along the healing is, everything is still in process.” I can’t honestly say that, the process is still ongoing,” he said.
