- Sun Plaza Medan
Sun Plaza Medan has become the favorite place for Indonesian President 2019-2024 Joko Widodo to spend time with his grandchild. He was seen visiting Sun Plaza several times during his working visit to Medan.
Recently, Jokowi was seen touring Sun Plaza last Thursday (28/11/2024). He greeted the people of Medan who were eager to take photos with him.
Sun Plaza Medan is known to have been established in early 2004 with 6 floors. This mall has various areas ranging from local fashion brands to expensive brands.

- Delipark Mall
Delipark Mall has become one of Jokowi’s destinations to take his grandchild to play. Jokowi last visited this mall on Friday (29/11) to watch his granddaughter Sedah Ayu perform at a health event.
When he was actively serving as President, Jokowi also visited Delipark Mall on February 8, 2024. At that time, he took his grandchild to play at the children’s amusement area inside the mall.
Jokowi was also spotted visiting Delipark Mall in April 2024. The atmosphere of the mall immediately became lively when it was known that the father-in-law of the newly elected Governor Bobby Nasution visited the mall.
It should be noted that Delipark Mall was established in November 2019 and has 9 floors. This mall has tenants ranging from local brands to luxury. In addition, this mall has become a child-friendly area with a free garden area.
- Centre Point Mall
Centre Point Mall was not missed by Jokowi during his active presidency. He was known to visit the mall on Friday (15/3), accompanied by his grandchildren as they walked around the mall.
A month later, he was also spotted visiting the mall again in April 2024 with his grandchildren during the Eid celebration.
It is known that Centre Point Mall opened in November 2014 with around 7 floors featuring various tenants ranging from food, fashion, household appliances, to entertainment areas.
