Jakarta -National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, along with TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, inspected the homecoming routes for the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holidays from the air. The inspection was carried out using a helicopter.

From the obtained photo, General Sigit and General Agus Subiyanto are seen sitting side by side on the helicopter. Both of them directly monitored the homecoming traffic at Km 70 Cikopo Toll Road and then returned to Km 57 Jakarta-Cikampek. Monitoring was conducted to ensure the smooth flow of the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holiday traffic.

On that occasion, Chief of Police General Sigit expressed appreciation to all his members because there were no notable incidents during the security operations for Christmas and New Year 2025. The number of accidents is also still under control.

“I would like to thank all the colleagues who were tasked with securing the Nataru, as I see from the reports that the figures are quite controlled, both the crime rate and the number of accidents that occurred in the areas monitored by West Java, and also the series of worship activities that were reported earlier, there were no significant incidents,” said General Sigit.

This four-star general then conveyed that the traffic situation during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holiday exodus has increased. The tendency for increased traffic flow will occur leading up to the peak of the New Year 2025 celebrations.

“On one hand, this is certainly a concern for our colleagues, especially in West Java, that the number of people who will be engaging in activities, particularly celebrating the peak of the New Year, is likely to increase.” Because if we look at the number of people in this province, it is certainly higher than usual, and this will impact the arterial routes to tourist destinations,” he said.

Previously, General Agus Subiyanto and General Sigit also checked the homecoming traffic on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road together with the Minister of Human Development and Culture (PMK) Pratikno.

Observation at the location, Friday (27/12/2024), around 09:50 WIB, upon arriving at the rest area, the group immediately inspected the Serambi My Pertamina post provided for travelers. At the post, facilities such as a prayer room, lactation area, and health check-ups for travelers are provided.

Not only that, they also walked around greeting and interacting with the travelers who were resting in the rest area. It was seen that the representatives of the central government also gave gifts to the travelers.

“Where are you going?” asked General Sigit to the traveler.

“Going to Jogja from Palembang, Sir.” “Just taking a break to eat,” said the traveler in response.

“Alright, be careful on the road, safe travels, Sir, Ma’am, and the little ones,” Sigit said.
