Jakarta – Most celebrities would be thrilled if their attractive appearance earned recognition. However, this is not the case for boy group member Keung To. Recently, he even asked his fans not to vote for him in the list of the most handsome men.
Keung To is a Hong Kong idol popular for his singing talent. Winning first place in the audition show King Maker, it’s no surprise that the 25-year-old has many fans. In the selection of The Most Handsome Faces 2024, he ranked second among other handsome men worldwide.
This is not the first time Keung To has been recognized as one of the most handsome men. In the annual list compiled by TC Candler, he previously ranked third and fifth in the past two years. It is no surprise that Keung To once again topped the list in 2024.
Unfortunately, instead of feeling proud and happy, this recognition has caused concern for Keung To. In an Instagram post, he asked fans not to vote for him anymore. He even admitted to feeling embarrassed.
“Please stop ranking me higher on the (most handsome men) list. It makes me embarrassed every time (the list comes out). Not only you, but even I feel it’s all fake. I would only be the second most handsome person in my family. My dad is the first,” he wrote in an Instagram Story post.
Although he often appears on the handsome list, Keung To has frequently been the target of hateful comments about his appearance. When he topped the TC Candler list, the singer of We All Are was deemed unworthy of being on the list because he did not fit the expected visuals. Keung To is known to have struggled with his appearance due to weight gain before and after his debut in the entertainment industry.
Some netizens tried to “prove” their hatred by uploading childhood photos of Keung To, during which he had not yet “glowed up” as he has now. Others even used his photos from when he was heavier as “memes” on social media.
