Jeddah – The Al Taawoun vs. Al Nassr match ended in a draw in the Saudi Pro League. Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his frustration with a remark after the game.
Competing at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday (January 18, 2025) early morning WIB, Al Nassr struggled against their opponent. The team coached by Stefano Pioli even fell behind initially.
In the first half, Al Nassr’s goal was struck by Saad Al Nasser. Aymeric Laporte then saved Al Nassr with his goal in the second half.
Throughout the match, Ronaldo and his team found it tough. Even with 13 minutes of added time, they couldn’t score another goal.
After the match, Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly upset. The Al Nassr striker made sarcastic gestures when caught on camera.
Ronaldo expressed his frustration while making a baffled gesture and saying something. Reports suggest Ronaldo was mocking Al Taawoun players for frequently falling on the field.
“Always falling to the ground. It’s impossible to win,” Ronaldo said.
The draw caused Al Nassr to drop out of the top three in the Saudi Pro League standings. The Global Club now has 29 points from 15 matches, falling to 4th place in the standings, 11 points behind Al Hilal.
