Jakarta – The US dollar weakened against the Indonesian rupiah in the opening trade at the beginning of this week. The currency of the United States fell to Rp 16,354.
According to RTI data on Monday (January 20, 2025), the US dollar opened at Rp 16,360 this morning. Shortly after, it dropped 6 points to Rp 16,354, representing a 0.04% decline.
This morning, the highest exchange rate for the US dollar was Rp 16,360, while the lowest was Rp 16,354. Weekly, the US dollar strengthened by 0.52%; monthly, it increased by 1.14%; and quarterly, it rose by 5.58%.
Furthermore, the dollar gained 0.86% over six months, 1.64% year-to-date, and 4.63% year-on-year.
The US dollar also showed a weakening trend against several other currencies. For instance, against the Australian dollar, the US dollar weakened by 0.29%, and against the Euro, it declined by 0.20%.
Additionally, the US dollar weakened by 0.20% against the British pound, 0.23% against the Chinese yuan, 0.20% against the Japanese yen, and 0.18% against the Singapore dollar.
