Again, Trump Criticizes Biden for Pardoning His Family

Washington – U.S. President Donald Trump has once again criticized former U.S. President Joe Biden. Trump condemned Biden’s decision to pardon his family members.

A pardon is a presidential act of forgiving a convicted person. “Did you know that Biden, while I was giving a speech, pardoned his entire family?” Trump said, as reported by CNN, Tuesday (1/21/2025).

“His brother, his entire deal, was pardoned. Can you imagine that happening while I was giving a speech? Did everyone hear my speech? Did you like my speech? Thank you,” he continued.

Trump mentioned that his aides advised him not to make a “harsh” inaugural speech. They also urged Trump not to comment on Biden’s decision to pardon his family members.

However, Trump ignored these suggestions. He went on to criticize Biden’s decision.

“Can you believe it? He’s been pardoned. Do you know why he did it while I was speaking? Because that way, I couldn’t talk about it,” Trump said.

Trump expressed confusion about Biden’s actions. Shortly after his speech, Trump was approached by his aides, who informed him about Biden’s decision.

Trump then asked his aides if he could give another speech to discuss Biden’s controversial decision. “Somehow, it’s not very elegant,” he added.

Of the 39 people pardoned, one was Biden’s son, Hunter. He was facing a potential prison sentence after being convicted of tax violations and gun ownership offenses. The move subjected Biden to heavy criticism.

Earlier, in his first speech as U.S. President, Trump claimed that Joe Biden was unable to manage even simple domestic crises. Trump also criticized immigration policies from the Biden administration era.
