Anime Solo Leveling to Be Adapted into a K-Drama Soon

Jakarta – Fans of Solo Leveling, get ready for some exciting news. The Solo Leveling series is set to be adapted into a Korean drama (K-drama).

This announcement was first reported by CBR. Kakao Entertainment officially revealed that Solo Leveling is currently in the script development stage and casting process.

Unfortunately, there are no further details about the Solo Leveling K-drama project yet. This news first surfaced following an interview report with Heaeun Kwak and Wangho Lee, the Creative Director and CEO of D&C Webtoon Biz, in 2021.

Currently, the Solo Leveling anime produced by A-1 Pictures is in its second season, with the third episode airing this weekend. In the anime version, Sung Jinwoo’s father, Sung Il-Hwan, mysteriously appears after disappearing into a Dungeon portal for 10 years.

Solo Leveling was first released digitally on KakaoPage on July 25, 2016. Later, it was adapted into a webtoon in 2018 and ran until 2021 on the same platform.

The Solo Leveling manhwa gained massive popularity, including in Indonesia, and has been read 48 million times.

The Solo Leveling story continues in its sequel titled Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. Unfortunately, the comic is currently on hiatus until the end of this month due to the illustrator’s recovery following a car accident.
