7 Thousand Vehicles Headed to Puncak Bogor This Morning, Police Implement One Way

Puncak – Thousands of vehicles began entering the Puncak area, Bogor, West Java, this morning. The police recorded 7,000 vehicles entering the Puncak area.

“For this morning, vehicles heading towards Puncak have been monitored from 00:00 WIB until now, with approximately 7,000 vehicles being recorded,” said the Head of Traffic Police of Bogor Police, AKP Rizky Guntama, Saturday (25/1/2025).

There are several obstacles around Simpang Gadog. He conveyed several of those obstacles.

“There are indeed several obstacles, one of which is in Pasir Muncang, Megamendung, where there are obstacles such as a bottleneck and people crossing,” he said.

Currently, the police are implementing a one-way traffic system from Jakarta towards Puncak. One way is implemented to anticipate congestion in Puncak.

“Currently, the Puncak route is being implemented as a one-way route from Jakarta to Puncak.” Done to accommodate all vehicles wanting to travel to Puncak,” he explained.

One way is implemented situationally. They monitor the volume of vehicles in Puncak and its surroundings. If the volume of vehicles tends to be low, then traffic can be normalized again.

“Until later this afternoon, we might carry it out.” We will continue to monitor whether it is necessary until noon or if it can be normalized,” he explained.

“For this morning, we have implemented the odd-even traffic policy starting from 06:00 AM WIB.” “But the traffic heading towards Puncak is quite congested,” he added.
