Arab Prince Condemns Trump’s Statement About the U.S. Taking Over Gaza

Jakarta – Condemnation has come from various parties after U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. would take control of the Gaza Strip. Among those condemning him is the Arab Prince, Prince Al-Faisal.

As reported by CNN International on Friday (February 7, 2025), Prince Al-Faisal expressed his condemnation of Trump during an interview with CNN International journalist Christiane Amanpour.

Prince Al-Faisal, who also previously served as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Washington, said, “What came out of Mr. Trump’s mouth is simply indefensible.”

Furthermore, Prince Al-Faisal stated that he was reluctant to comment extensively on Trump’s plan to take control of Gaza.

“I respectfully refuse to comment with impolite language. It is a fantasy to think that ethnic cleansing in the 21st century could be forgiven by the international community, which stays silent and does not respond,” he emphasized.

Prince Al-Faisal firmly stated that it is Israel that is occupying Palestine.

“All of this is part of U.S. policy, including the words Trump chose to use in claiming that he wants to improve the situation, when in fact, it will only make matters worse and lead to more conflict and bloodshed,” explained the former head of Saudi intelligence.

In this interview, Prince Al-Faisal also warned Trump that if he were to visit Saudi Arabia, the Saudi leaders would issue a strong reprimand.

“If he truly comes (to Saudi Arabia), he will receive a reprimand from the leaders here about the recklessness of what he proposes and the real and blatant injustice that is marked and fully placed in this ethnic cleansing proposal, not only from Gaza but also what’s happening in the West Bank,” said the Saudi prince.

Earlier, there were reports about Donald Trump mentioning that the U.S. would relocate Palestinian residents and build the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

Trump’s plan was shared during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday (February 4, 2025). Trump stated that two million Palestinians in Gaza would be relocated.

Trump’s statement has sparked controversy and condemnation from many world leaders. The plan is considered a proposal that would lead to chaos.
