Jakarta – Indonesian Police Attaché (Polri) in Manila, Kombes Retno Prihawati, received an award from the Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP). The award was presented directly by the Philippine Interior Secretary.
“This award is given as a form of appreciation for her dedication and coordination in cross-border security operations, investigations, and law enforcement involving Indonesian and Filipino citizens,” stated the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) via their official Instagram account @divisihumaspolri on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
The Plaque of Recognition from the Chief of the Philippine National Police was given for Retno’s dedication to strengthening cooperation between the Indonesian Police and the Philippine National Police in handling various cross-border cases involving both countries.
“This award is not just for me, but also for the Indonesian Police and all the teams that worked together in ensuring security and justice in both countries,” said Retno.
She hopes that the cooperation between the two countries can continue to be strengthened to create a safer and more conducive region for the people of Indonesia and the Philippines.
The award ceremony took place at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Headquarters in Manila.
This award highlights the importance of the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and the Philippines in the field of security, as well as the strategic role of the Indonesian Police Attaché in Manila in building strong coordination to address various challenges in international law enforcement.
