Synopsis of Bidaah
Bidaah tells the story of Baiduri (played by Riena Diana), a young woman who’s forced to join a religious group called Jihad Ummah.
But wait—this isn’t your typical spiritual community. The leader, Walid Muhammad Mahdi Ilman (played by veteran actor Faizal Hussein), claims to be Imam Mahdi, the savior of the end times.
As the story unfolds, Baiduri starts to realize she hasn’t joined a place for spiritual healing, but rather a group full of twisted teachings. From forced marriages and blind obedience to eerie rituals—it only gets creepier!
Enter Hambali (played by Fattah Amin), a charming guy who has just returned from Yemen and immediately senses that something is seriously wrong with this group.
Hambali teams up with Baiduri to take down the cult from the inside. It’s intense, chilling, and addictively suspenseful in every episode.
Written by Eirma Fatima and directed by Pali Yahya, Bidaah consists of 15 episodes, each about 42 minutes long, delivering a story that is as terrifying as it is relevant.
