Ferdy Sambo Sentenced to Death For Premeditated Murder

Jakarta, Timerilis.com – The panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court sentenced Ferdy Sambo to death in the murder of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.

The verdict was decided by the Chief Judge of the South Jakarta District Court Wahyu Iman Santoso. In its verdict, the panel of judges also mentioned that there were no mitigating circumstances against the defendant.

“The element of premeditation has been fulfilled,” Wahyu said in the verdict reading session against Ferdy Sambo at the South Jakarta District Court, Jakarta, Monday (13/2/2023).

According to Wahyu, Ferdy Sambo was said to have been proven legally and plausibly to have planned the murder that caused Brigadier J’s death.

“Adjudge, declare the defendant Ferdy Sambo has been proven legally and conclusively guilty of intentionally and with premeditation taking the life of another person,” Wahyu said.

Not only that, Wahyu stated that Ferdy Sambo was found guilty of destroying CCTV which resulted in the disruption of the electronic system and/or resulted in the electronic system not working properly.

In this case, Sambo was found guilty of violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.

Furthermore, Sambo was also found guilty of violating Article 49 juncto Article 33 of Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions juncto Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code. (Bon/Eva)
