FIFA Appreciates the Development of Women’s Football in Indonesia

Timerilis.com – International Football Federation (FIFA) through its women’s soccer expert Simon Toselli appreciated the development of Indonesian women’s soccer carried out by PSSI.

“I think it’s fantastic, Indonesia has been thinking about this for a long time (women’s soccer),” said Simon, uploaded on the PSSI website, Tuesday.

According to him, Indonesia has run a good women’s football program such as leagues, tournaments, festivals, coaches, referees, and athlete development starting from the grassroots.

Therefore, Simon said FIFA would be happy to assist PSSI in improving the quality of these programs.

“I feel it’s easy for FIFA to help Indonesia develop it because there is great potential,” he said.

Simon Toselli visited PSSI in Jakarta on Monday (13/3). There, he met the PSSI official responsible for handling women’s soccer Papat Yunisal.

Papat was grateful for FIFA’s attention to Indonesian football, especially to the women’s sector.

“FIFA has long wanted its member associations to pay attention to women’s football which is being promoted throughout the world,” he said.

Not just visiting the PSSI Office, Simon Toselli will also see firsthand the training of the DKI Jakarta women’s soccer team on Wednesday (15/3).

The activity will be carried out at the Kingkong soccer training field in Cijantung, East Jakarta.

“I can’t wait to see firsthand how women’s soccer runs in Indonesia. This will be a good moment for me and also my report to FIFA later,” Simon said.
